Assistive Technology Coach
David Axelrod is an experienced professional with a diverse background spanning talent acquisition, business operations management, and nonprofit leadership. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to empowering individuals through skill development, coaching, advocacy, and accessibility solutions. Currently, David serves as an Assistive Technology Coach at the NEAT Center at Oak Hill, where he helps individuals implement technology solutions that foster independence and accessibility.
David is a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities and rare diseases, committed to increasing awareness and access to critical resources. As Chair of the annual Stiff Person Syndrome Symposium for the past five years, he has played a pivotal role in bringing together experts, researchers, and the rare disease community to advance education and support.
David’s advocacy is deeply personal. He has firsthand experience with the transformative power of Assistive Technology, having benefited from its implementation in the workplace before becoming a coach himself. This unique perspective allows him to connect with both employees and employers, bridging the gap between need and potential.
