Since 1992, Scott has spearheaded his over three-decade career in the Low Vision and Blindness industry. Currently, he serves as the President and CEO of New England Low Vision and Blindness, headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts. Scott is the driving force behind the organization’s mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals with blindness or low vision through the utilization of assistive technology, training, and care.
With a background in strategic leadership and growth outcomes within several prominent low vision and blindness organizations, Scott is committed to making a personal impact on those affected by vision loss. His expertise in the field is widely recognized, leading a team of twenty professionals and serving six states as the primary provider to an unquantifiable number of clients of the Federal and State Governments, educators of the visually impaired, elementary, middle, and high school students, non-profit organizations, and individuals who are homebound and have intellectual disabilities. Scott provides all leading low vision and blindness assistive technology.
Additionally, Scott serves as the chief assistive technology specialist, supervising and implementing training services supporting various contracts, including Deaf-Blind, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Administration, and Seniors. Scott is the primary instructor conducting educational professional development assistive technology workshops on low vision and blindness assistive technology, guiding the training of trainers who work with clients who are blind and low vision. Scott’s primary objective is to enhance the daily functional independence of individuals experiencing vision loss, empowering them to become more engaged, productive, active, and happy.
